Leon has been working at LetsGrow.com since 2000.
In 1989, through an intermediary, I received an invitation to come and talk to 'a company in greenhouse automation'. That turned out to be Hoogendoorn Growth Management who were looking for someone for research. I was working as a researcher in Wageningen at the time and made the switch. The first year I was seconded to Wageningen. In the year 2000, I started LetsGrow.com with a number of colleagues.
What I like most about my job is the freedom, the variety, the atmosphere and the fact that you make something that is actually used by customers.
What I like most about my job is the freedom, the variety, the atmosphere and the fact that you make something that is actually used by customers. A moment I was proud of during my work was when we launched LetsGrow.com in 2001. We were at a trade fair with a working website, while shortly before we had no experience at all with the internet. That was a cool moment.
I would describe the organisational culture within LetsGrow.com as informal, flat and cosy. Everyone is easy to approach. We regularly go out to dinner with the team and our staff association also often organises fun outings.
